PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

Very few companies in Hualien have lasted nearly five decades. Fewer still have remained dedicated to local growth. Kung-Long is one of them. From its early days in the stone industry, to branching into tourism, and now into the deep ocean water industry, every step has focused on industries that rely on local resources—industries that can’t be outsourced, but must be nurtured within Hualien itself.

Chairman Hsin-Hsiung Tseng, driven by a deep love for Hualien, moved his family here and laid the foundation for the company. Hualien not only shaped his business journey but also became the core of Kung-Long’s mission. From a three-person team introducing Hualien’s white marble and serpentine to markets in Japan and the U.S., to establishing a tourism business that attracted visitors from Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, his work has always carried a strong sense of giving back.
He introduced attractions such as snow slides, NASA space suits, dinosaur fossils, Japanese monkey performances, and curated global jade collections in the Kung-Long Museum. Though not commercial ventures, each initiative reflects his deep affection for Hualien and a strong sense of purpose.
Today, Chairman Tseng devotes his energy to developing the "Blue Gold of Happiness"—the deep ocean water industry. His vision is to foster tourism, innovative agriculture, sustainable aquaculture, and biotech-based eldercare, creating opportunities for education and employment and working toward making Hualien “the happiest city in Taiwan.”
